These groups run in small, three month cycles, four to six men each, so you get focused work on one goal alongside other men working on the same thing.

Groups are also one of the most cost effective ways to get real, targeted time with a licensed therapist. Each group meets once a week, virtually, for ninety minutes, and stays focused on a single topic for the full three months.

The three groups

No More Mr. Nice Guy

Based on the framework from Dr. Robert Glover's book of the same name

This one is for men who spend a lot of energy trying to keep everyone around them happy, at the expense of their own needs. If you find yourself avoiding conflict, over explaining your decisions, seeking approval before you feel allowed to act, or resenting people for not noticing how much you do for them, this group is built for you. We'll work through the Nice Guy patterns directly: where they came from, what they cost you, and what it looks like to operate from integrity instead of approval seeking. You'll have other men in the room doing the same work, which makes it a lot harder to slide back into old habits unnoticed.

Communicating With Your Partner

Practical work on how you show up in your relationship

Most men weren't taught how to talk about what's actually going on with them, especially with a partner. This group focuses on the specific skills that make the biggest difference: naming what you feel before it turns into shutting down or blowing up, listening without immediately defending yourself, and bringing up hard things before they turn into resentment. We'll use real situations from your own relationship as the material, and you'll get direct feedback from me and from the other men, not just theory.

Building a Social Life

For men who want more friendships and don't know how to start

A lot of men get into their thirties, forties, and beyond and realize their social life has quietly disappeared. Work, family, and routine take over, and the friendships either faded or never got built in the first place. This group is for men who want to change that but find the idea of "making friends as an adult" awkward or unclear. We'll work on where to meet people, how to move an acquaintance toward an actual friendship, and how to push past the discomfort of putting yourself out there. You'll also get a built in dose of practice, since you'll be building real connection with the other men in the group itself.
